Conferences

At least twice throughout the semester, students will meet one-on-one with their instructor. These conferences will typically run from 15-20 minutes in length and will address any issues, concerns, and/or questions students have about their major projects. Students often find these meetings very beneficial because of the direct attention paid to student writing. That being said, these conferences are only productive if students come prepared with a series of questions or a direction they which to take the conference. These can range anywhere from lower-order concerns (e.g. grammar) to higher-order concerns (e.g. understanding concepts/purpose of the major projects).
