ENC 1102 student Albis Maceo wrote the following about his social action project: "[M]y project has grown to be more than just another
school project. I am currently in season two of Getting Healthy 4 Lyfe
(GHL), and hope to motivate others to embark in a healthy lifestyle." Good stuff, Albis. Keep it up.
Alex DeVault, 1102 student, created this video to warn against the dangers of texting and driving. Alex also created a corresponding blog for the cause: http://donttextanddrive.dinstudio.com/diary_1_1.html.
ENC 1102 students and instructors decided to promote the SlutWalk Tampa flash mob to be held on 9/17/2011 with a mini-walk of our own around the Marshall Student Center at USF. They made awesome choices in their posters, they were loud and they were proud. Rhetoric was definitely in action!
One USF Composition class has a greater purpose than simply teaching students about writing, as they are encouraged to turn words into deeds. University Beat on WUSF TV takes us to the Social Action Presentation Day, where seventy students showed how they took issues they felt passionate about and put 'Rhetoric in Action.'

the Tampa Bay area, more than 10,000 can come in every year, with only a
third of them being adopted. Action needs to be taken. This is a project done by Heidi Bosmans for the University of South Florida. Music:Ho Hey- The Lumineers
